Safety is our top priority. All of our products have undergone rigorous testing to ensure their safety. Contracting with the recognized leader in toy safety testing we have met all US federal safety standards for toy safety. In addition to passing ASTM regulations, we have added an extra layer of caution and safety by subjecting our products to further testing with industry leaders in chemical and polymer testing. In addition, we have gone beyond mandatory requirements in our packaging and labeling to ensure that our products are used safely by consumers.
Orbeez are non-toxic. They are, like all small parts, a choking hazard and should be kept out of the reach of children under age 3. Tests have shown that if a child swallows Orbeez, they should pass through the digestive system with no problems. If a child swallows a substantial number of Orbeez, we advise you to seek immediate medical attention. Because a child with a rare or undetected medical problem may be at risk of complications we recommend you seek the advice of a medical professional.
Orbeez do not break down in the digestive tract, do not stick together and are not absorbed into the body. They are eliminated through the natural digestive process.
If the Orbeez has become lodged in the child’s EAR, under otolaryngology (ENT) supervision only, the following are guidelines for removal, if there is NO hole or perforated eardrum:
- Alcohol will reduce Orbeez size by approximately 25%. Place 4 drops of alcohol on a cotton ball and place the cotton ball in the ear canal for approximately 15 minutes.
- Then, the Orbeez can be removed by the physician (ENT).
- Saline Solution is NOT recommended.
- Ear Vacuum is NOT recommended.
- Orbeez are not radiopaque, and as such, will not show in an X-Ray.
If the Orbeez has become lodged in the child’s NOSE, usual otolaryngologic (ENT) techniques of foreign object removal can be used. Please note that Orbeez are not radiopaque, and as such, will not show in an X-Ray.
